Do Palo Santo amulets, mala beads, and pendulums need cleansing?

Palo Santo naturally maintains its clarity over time and does not require special cleansing.
If you’d like to refresh your piece, you may:

  • Place it under moonlight, soft sunlight, or

  • Rest it among raw Palo Santo chips to renew its natural aroma.

What are Palo Santo Wands and Carvings?

Our wands and carved objects are sculptural expressions of balance and unity, designed to bring beauty and serenity to a space.

3 things to know about Light of Ki wands and carvings:

  • Each wand is carved from a single block of sustainably reclaimed Palo Santo wood.

  • The intertwined root design symbolizes connection, harmony, and creative flow.

  • Every carving is left untreated to preserve the wood’s natural oils and evolving fragrance.

3 things to know about Light of Ki raw Palo Santo:

  • Both chips and sticks are made from 100% reclaimed Palo Santo wood, sustainably harvested in Peru in 1989.

  • The wood is left in its natural state — no oils, coatings, or synthetic enhancements.

  • Use chips to refresh the scent of your pendulums, malas, or amulets by placing them together in a pouch, or enjoy them as a gentle aromatic accent in your home or studio.

Each piece varies in tone and texture, reflecting the individuality of the Palo Santo tree it came from.

What is Mindful Living?

Mindful living is the practice of bringing attention and awareness into daily life — noticing your breath, surroundings, and actions with calm curiosity.

It can look like this:

  • Taking a moment to pause and breathe deeply.

  • Moving your body with intention.

  • Keeping a daily gratitude note.

  • Creating a calm ritual space with natural materials such as Palo Santo.

The goal is not perfection, but consistency — showing up for yourself with patience and care.

What is Palo Santo?

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is a wild wood native to South America.
After a tree has naturally fallen and rests for several years, its aromatic oils begin to form, giving the wood its signature scent.

Only wood from naturally fallen trees is collected — a method known as sustainable harvesting or sustainable reclamation.
All Palo Santo used by Light of Ki was responsibly reclaimed in Peru in 1989, allowing the wood to mature naturally over decades.

How do I care for my Palo Santo products?

To preserve their beauty and aroma:

  • Keep them away from water, oils, and prolonged sunlight.

  • Avoid exposure to perfume or heavy perspiration.

  • Natural contact with skin may gently lighten the color over time — a mark of genuine use and connection.
