Combining the incense-making mastery of the East with the mystical palo santo wood from Peru, this is the first palo santo incense in the world that comes in this form. This type of incense is called dhoop or solid stick. It has no bamboo core and can be easily broken for portion control. It is the type of incense most often found in Japan and Tibet.
The incense contains three ingredients: palo santo wood powder (≊ 70%) + a natural plant-based binder made from the bark of the genus Phoebe tree (≊30%) + water.
This mixture is molded into thin sticks and left to dry in the sun.
We do not add perfumes, essential oils, aroma enhancers, or other synthetic compounds.
To burn this incense:
Light the end of the stick until a flame is established.
Gently extinguish by blowing or fanning out the flame.
Place your incense stick in an appropriate incense holder that will collect the ash as it falls.
This box has a metal ring that can be used as a portable incense holder.
This box weighs 15g and contains approximately 30 incense sticks (+/- 2 sticks depending on the density and oil content of the palo santo wood powder).
Each incense stick burns for approximately 30 minutes.
