The mark · A crescent at the middle of the triangle: the beginning, the barely visible sliver before anything else takes shape. What you want and why are yours to decide. How and when it arrives is not.

The cord · The midnight blue cord has a sliding knot beside the first bead, at the far end of the strand from the larger bead. Push it in and the beads sit snug, ease it out and they move freely under the thumb: one setting for wearing, another for counting.

How it fits is yours to decide, and to change.

Carved from palo santo aged more than thirty years. No living tree was cut for it.
